The Chairman of the Board of Almaty City Development Centre JSC presented a report to Almaty Mayor Darkhan Satybaldy on the implementation of instructions to improve the transparency and validity of project and cost estimate documentation, as well as to monitor the implementation of construction projects.

The Centre has established a systematic approach to the analytical and field control of investment and construction projects. A monitoring department has been created with a staff of 34, including 10 first-class technical supervision experts. A mechanism for comprehensive analysis of design and estimate documentation and the progress of project implementation has been introduced.

During the reporting period, more than 100 projects were reviewed, mainly submitted by district akimats and city administrations. Based on the results of analytical control and field surveys with verification of the actual volume of work performed, cost optimisation was ensured.

The mayor emphasised that projects should be implemented on the basis of economic feasibility, transparent calculations and priority given to quality for city residents.

The Centre's work is systematic in nature and aimed at early risk identification and improving the efficiency of budget funds use.
