Almaty Discusses Creating an Information Platform for People with Cancer

13.03.2026

It's well known that many people feel confused when first diagnosed with cancer. Patients don't always understand where to begin treatment, what tests they need, and what government assistance they can expect.

The planned platform aims to become a single source of information providing clear and verified answers to these questions.

The materials will be prepared in simple and accessible language in Kazakh and Russian. The platform can be presented in several convenient formats—a website, information leaflets, and a Telegram bot. This will allow people who find digital services difficult to use to access the necessary information.

The goal of the project is not only to collect useful information but also to create a supportive environment for people facing cancer. Expert doctors and patient communities are expected to be involved in the development of the platform. As a result, it should become a reliable point of reference that will help people get their bearings and understand what steps need to be taken next.
